We purchased a floor from element 7 and had it fitted by our builder who assured me that it didn't matter who fitted it, I even sent him to the showroom to look. Turns out it did matter as they have put T bar junction pieces in everywhere whereas in the showroom its a neat metal trim piece with no gaps to the stone, they also didn't stagger the boards properly and I have lots of planks ends in the same place and it looks poorly fitted as a result, maybe its me but it really annoys me when I look at the floor

I have been to Element 7's show room once to look at the variety of timber floor finishes they supply. There is quite a collection ranging from light to dark wood, different grains and cuts available as well. All displays are laid on the ground which gave a good idea of how they will look in actual fitted out rooms. However, the down side to Element 7 is the price.
The engineered board are overprice in my opinion and they are mostly catered to the high end of the market. Generally, these boards are about 80 per metre square, the dark smoked oak are even more expensive.
