I'd have no hesitation in recommending Jim and his team at Ironwood flooring. Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Jim has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in parquet flooring and worked brilliantly with our builder to get the right finish for our floor renovations. Jim and his team sanded and sealed my wooden herringbone floor. The work they performed was incredible. The finish on the floor is so perfect it looks as if it's brand new and friends & family cannot believe it when I tell them it isn't! Ironwood did a fantastic job of fitting a new engineered oak parquet floor across most of our ground floor. Jim was professional and courteous throughout. He talked me through the various options and things to consider which I would not even have thought about until much later had he not raised them. The cost was as per the quote - there were no hidden costs or extras. Mariuz installed the floor with great skill and precision, including round radiator pipes, door thresholds etc. The finished floor is beautiful, and I smile every time I see it. Ironwood Flooring have recently restored our original 1950's parquet flooring. We are absolutely delighted with it. The whole process from obtaining the quote to completion of the job was seamless. They ensured that we understood the process, discussed all requirements and stuck to budget and the agreed timeline. They are knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly - we couldn't have asked for more. The workmanship and communication is second to none with nothing being too much bother and we would highly recommend them.

Ironwood did a terrific job in installing two reclaimed parquet floors. They were extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process, helping us choose and source floors that complement the features of the historic building, as well as providing a detailed quote. The floor was installed with great care and attention to detail, with all additional concerns (door resizing, thresholds between adjoining rooms, radiator pipes, etc) taken care of.

It was sanded and treated multiple times to give a high grade finish, which really brought out the depth of colour in original parquet blocks. I would highly recommend Ironwood and would definitely use them again for future projects.

I would recommend using Ironwood Flooring for a professional, courteous, thorough, company; proud of the quality work they do. The team throughout the project were very professional and did a very good job. Better than expected. I put tiles in my kitchen floor and repair my wooden floors in the rest of the house. Despite the hiccup of lockdown, Jim and Mariusz provided a fantastic service, rejuvenating our rather tired oak floor. The results are outstanding. Mariusz's work was clean (amazingly little dust from all the sanding), neat and of great quality. Jim was excellent, with help before and after installation - especially trying to repair the scratches made by me dropping the sofa on the brand new floor! A great team all round.

We’re really impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and high level of workmanship of Jim and the Ironwood team, they were very easy to work with and took the stress out of our floor renovation project following a water leak. Jim and his team at Ironwood did a fantastic job with the floors in our 1930s house. Restoring the floors back to life was impressive however what was really impressive was the way the team took the time to understand what we wanted and that they made sure we were happy with the finished product. Job well done!

Jim and his team did a fantastic job bringing our old parquet floor back to life. It was in quite a bad state with a number of panels and areas damaged or missing. They were able to replace the missing panels seamlessly and sand back and polish and it has all come up beautifully. They are experts in flooring and I would 100% have no hesitation recommending them.

They were also very tidy and trustworthy (they had keys and did all the work when we weren't at home). We only asked them to quote because I really wanted a specialist for this job but I thought their quote was very fair.

We bought a character property - a barn conversion - which had a lovely but neglected wooden floor. It was dirty & discoloured. Ironwood have just completed restoring the floor which now looks brand new. Their service from start to finish has been excellent and highly professional. We would recommend them without hesitation.

Their quote was competitive ( everyone seems to charge the same price! ) but the thing that stood out was their professionalism and speed in arranging to come round to see the Property. My partner and I have used Ironwood Flooring Services a couple of times since we bought our house in Tring and they have been absolutely exceptional both times. Initially we employed hem to restore the aok flooring in our kitchen and dining room, which they did in ONE DAY and with a truly 98% dust free finish. Their craftsman, Gabor, is an absolutely BFG (big friendly giant) who could not be more friendly and helpful.

The second job we had for Ironwood was to restore 19th century floorboards, which we found underneath a cheap horrible plastic laminate floor to its original glory. The floor was paint stained, full of gaps and in desperate need of some TLC. Gabor and his partner absolutely transformed it into a whole new floor. It's given the two rooms a completely new lease of life! I cannot recommend Ironwood Flooring Services more vigorously. Every single member of the team is absolutely wonderful and their work is second to none.
