INITIAL CONSULTATIONThis is to ascertain your requirements so that we are able to specify a suitable range of products for your project and also to determine your budget and timescale.
MEASURING AND SAMPLING
Mike normally carries out all the measuring himself and being an experienced NICF Fitter is able to advise the most economic use of material, position of joins, design layout etc.
QUOTATION/ESTIMATE
All our quotations will include all necessary materials and fitting costs, and any possible extras such as door cutting and removal of existing flooring will be stated as an optional service.
SUB FLOOR PREPARATION
This is arguably the most important aspect of any flooring works. If we find your sub floor is not of a suitable standard for the product you have chosen, we are able to carry out sub floor preparation such as ply boarding or applying product specific floor levelling compounds or liquid DPMs for damp or problem floors to achieve the perfect finish.
INSTALLATION
We aim to carry out a clean professional installation to create a high quality finish with minimal disruption to your home or office. All MRD work complies with BS5325 (Textiles) or BS8203 (Resilients) in addition to NICF standards.
As with many products, preparation is of the utmost importance as is the fitting which, if incorrect, can lead to a very expensive disaster making it important your fitter is skilled & experienced so as to avoid the pitfalls that can exist.
This is why all of our installers are continually trained to the highest standards, attending seminars & training courses.

Here at MRD our design flooring is one of the most desirable surfaces in our customers homes. We can design the patterns to suit the needs of the area being covered and add flourishes of character to really make a statement in your home. Our suppliers of Luxury Vinyl Tiles enable us to meet even the most intricate design requests.
Advances in technology and printing mean that, in terms of appearance and texture, vinyl flooring can now compete with alternative materials, including natural products, such as solid wood, real stone and ceramic/porcelain tiles. But what makes vinyl flooring most popular is its features of long lasting durability, scratch resistance and easy cleaning.
Like LVT (luxury vinyl tiles), Laminate flooring emulates the appearance of wood, stone/ceramic materials. So what is the difference between the two?. Laminate flooring is a floating floor system which should never be glued or nailed to the sub floor, this is due to the effects of moisture or high levels of humidity being absorbed by the planks causing them to expand and contract.

I haven't used this company but one next to it. You may wonder why/ how can you write a review. This review is about the surly aggressive staff who bark objections to you parking in their bays (unmarked). This was my first visit to the industrial estate - I moved the car. I was at the site for 2.5 hours and guess what - not one person used their spaces during that time.
Suggestion - try welcoming new visitors to your site, ask where/who they are looking for and politely ask that any vehicles are moved to the appropriate parking area when the visitor knows where they are going. Lest you are just a beardy bully.

We can’t recommend this company highly enough. We needed ceramic tiles lifted from the whole of our downstairs. A huge and potentially dusty job. Mike has the staff and equipment to do the job with minimum mess. We then had Amtico flooring laid. The choice of colours & designs is amazing and Mike was extremely helpful giving advice when needed. The finished flooring looks great and we are so pleased with the finished effect. Thanks to all at MRD.

Very helpful and friendly team. Everything went very smoothly from first stepping into the showroom to final fitting. The quality of fitting is excellent, they worked quickly and efficiently and the guys couldn't have been more helpful with moving furniture and clearing up. They have a good selection of carpets across the price range. The price we paid was very reasonable for the quality of the carpet and we would not hesitate to use them again. More than happy to give them 5 stars.

How to buy your first ever carpets: We started out the hard way - new build house which needed flooring everywhere! Having never bought carpet before, I had no clue where to start. Mike's helpful advice has led to stunning flooring throughout our new house. Beautiful Karndean flooring; soft, deep carpets; and the most fantastic stripey stair! Leaving aside the actual product, Mike was available, accessible, reliable and extremely professional.
