Karndean, Amtico, vinyl and wood floorings not only have to look great on the surface, they have to have a stable and smooth underfloor before fitting. Our fitters will not only fit your floor to exacting standards, but they will also lay a plywood subfloor, or in the case of concrete floors, screed them to create a smooth finish before laying the top covering.

GM Carpets have a good range of floor coverings. I had some damage to my dinning room and approached them for a quotation to submit to my insurance company. They asked for 50.00 for the quotation which they said they would refund when placed an order. Its common place for an insurnce company to ask for 3 quotes. The elderly woman (Janice) in the showroom reluctablty let me take a sample of flooring away with me.
The reason she wa reluctant was people didnt bring them back and "went on the internet" and bought the flooring themslves. I had no intntion of doing this. A gentleman from the company (owner) Billy came out and measure up. Nice man. I received my verbal quottion for the flooring and questioned the high price of their joiner which was almost as high as the flooring itself.
I mentioned if it woud be possible to have my own joiner and buy the flooring directly. On speaking with my insurance company they advised it would be ok to use GM company for the complete job. When called back I was accused of "conning" the company which is absoolutely ludicrious. I have my own business and only wanted to have some options. More importntly I wanted this local company to have my business.
In future I will be avoiding at all costs. These ladies upset me terribly and accusingly. They shoud perhaps think twice before verbally attacking someone. I am currently rcovring from pericarditis and collapsed lung and found dealing with them terribly stressful.
